More Aristotle

251/365 I spent most of my day today working on homework. Which meant more Aristotle.
But I got it all done today and I actually understood a lot of it! It made me happy. Here are a couple of quotes I found interesting today. "The same is true for [those who find enjoyment in] hearing; no one is ever called intemperate for excessive enjoyment of songs or playacting, or temperate for the right enjoyment of them." - Aristotle, Nichomachean Ethics Or in this case amusing. ‎" In sources of pleasure in amusements let us call the intermediate person witty, and the condition wit; the excess buffoonery and the person who has it a buffoon; and the deficient person a sort of boor and the state boorishness." - Aristotle, Nichomachean Ethics ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kelsey Page Did I Go To The Gym Today?: Nope. Monday “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” ~Matthew 6: 33-34

Reading

223/365

I have no words to describe how much I enjoyed this book. It was thoughtful, thought provoking and inspiring.

I like to call myself a writer and seeing Skeeter accomplish her book, in a time where women were not expected to do things like this and on a topic that was SO sensitive in that time period, is super inspiring.

Even the author of The Help herself was rejected SIXTY times before she was published. I don't know if I ever want to get published but just knowing that even if I'm rejected over and over and over, if I want to be published bad enough, I can do it.

:)

I thoroughly recommend this book. Read it.

My New Happy Place

184/365

This is the porch at my grandparent's house. I've spent a lot of time in the past couple of days there, just reading and sitting and talking with my grandparents.

Harry Potter

183/365

I randomly decided to start re-reading Harry Potter. I've reached the fourth one and I was gonna read it between my shifts tonight but I bought Sucker Punch instead and I'm watching it now. It's actually pretty good. I'm enjoying it.

Anyway. These are the Harry Potter books in my Mamaw's house. :)

So. Tired

28/365

This is my bed.

And after I take a shower I will be snuggling in. Because I am tired. And I don't care that I'm only 21. I am allowed to be tired damn it. I don't care what my dad says. It's ok that I'm tired after a long week.

I may read some more of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo before I go to sleep. [Which is one of the best books I've read in a long time. So enthralling]

What I Did This Afternoon.

10/365

I snuggled in my bed, read my book [The Other Queen by Philippa Gregory] and listened to Rufus Wainwright. For three hours.

It was quite relaxing.
