Saturday: Girls Night Out

272/365

I got in really late last night so I didn't post. :P Don't care. I had a wonderful night.

The ladies below are Megan and Anna.

I'm in there too. We took another picture with me in it but it was blurry. I like this one better anyway.

Both are two of the most wonderful women I have ever met in my entire life. And we have started this tradition where we "break into" Lagerquist (which is the amazing performance hall on campus) and we sing in the dark. We bring a speaker system and play music and sing our hearts out. It is such a great way to de-stress.

So we went and we were all really tired so we didn't do as much singing as we usually do. And then one of the organ players broke in too and asked if he could practice so we headed out. And then we decided to go on an adventure. We decided we were hungry and I wanted pie and Megan wanted ice cream so we were on our way to Shari's. On the way to Shari's however is a movie theater and Megan mentioned wanting to see the movie 50/50 and Anna and I agreed. So we redirected and drove by the theater to see if the movie was showing.

And it was!

So we ran up, bought our tickets and realized that we were still hungry and we didn't want to spend ten dollars on a hot dog. So we used Anna's smart phone to find a Taco Bell, which was just down the street. And we feasted on deliciousness. It was a great time.

Back to the theater we went and saw 50/50. It's a movie staring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen. Joseph stars as a man named Adam who gets a rare form of back cancer and Seth is is BFF. It's Adam's story as he goes through all of this traumatizing stuff. He builds a relationship with his therapist (played by Anna Kendrick) and rebuilds his relationship with his mom. We laughed, we cried and we loved the movie. It was a wonderful time.

Of course by the time it was done it was 12:30 in the morning. And I had to get up at 6:00 to go to work. :P

It was still the best night I've had in a long time and it was totally worth it.
