Yesterday's AND Today's

149 & 150/365

So here is my photo from yesterday. This is my new work place! All of the video monitors that I have to keep an eye on. It's a really boring job but it's ok. I'm earning money and that's all that matters. :)

And today's picture. I took this at about 3:00 am. I brought some floss and was making a bracelet/bookmark thing. I have to have something to do with my hands to keep myself alert. And instead I wrapped it around my finger. :P

Sleepy

Pictures are forthcoming. Too tired.

New Purse

148/365

This is my new purse. I got a new one because while walking home after Commencement Worship this morning, my water bottle fell over and literally filled my old purse with water. *facepalm* So while it was probably going to be ok after drying out, I decided to just purchase a new one.

Now I have to finish getting ready for work after a long ass rehearsal. I am going to be up until close to five tomorrow morning. Ugh....

Victorian Hair

147/365

So today was our costume parade. And we had to do full hair and makeup. I wasn't sure about my makeup so I did it at the Playhouse, but I did my hair at home. Looks pretty good doesn't it?

I had fun putting it up. I did not have so much fun at rehearsal. It was our cue to cue, a.k.a. doing scenes and stopping randomly to adjust lights. It was long and boring. I was so ready to be out of there. But I eventually did. I'm ready to start just doing runs of the show. It's time to start doing that...

And the Vocalists Win!

146/365

We finally broke the loosing streak! The Vocalists won the Annual Throats Vs. Arm/Lips Softball game! It was a great game! It was close all the way through but in the bottom of the eighth we took it away!

Ben had never played baseball before. When he went up to bat at one point I told him to remember to keep his elbow up, that's always helped me. And he got an epic hit! It was so great!

It's starting to hit me that people are leaving for the summer, and I'm gonna be around here. I used to be the one leaving. Not anymore. I'm gonna miss people. Like, a lot. But I will make sure that I have time to visit friends. :)

Grocery Shopping....

145/365

Sorry I didn't post last night. I was too busy celebrating the fact that I'm DONE WITH MY JUNIOR YEAR OF COLLEGE!!

So I went out and got some groceries yesterday. Looks stereotypical no?

I don't usually have a cart that looks like that. I try and get pretty balanced food items. I just needed to grab a few extra things and my bad friend Rachel (read best influence ever) told me to grab the giant thing of Diet Dr. Pepper. I am going to try and make it last the summer and to not drink soda all the time. :)

I'll post a picture from the Throats Vs. Arms/Lips Annual Baseball Game later today.

Dear Blogger

142, 143, & 144/365

Dear Blogger,
If you tell me that my blog is not online anymore I will hunt your people down and make them bring it back. I put too much work into this blog for you to make a "mistake" and take my blog away.

Anyway! Sorry about the delay because of the above reasons. :P

So I'm almost done with finals. I have my conducting jury tomorrow and I'm feeling really confident about it. It will be so good to finally be done with everything.

This is from Monday. Megan came over because we were gonna do some studying and I had to grab some things. She was lying on my bed and started to bounce up and down. It was hilarious.

This was from very early Tuesday morning before my Choral Materials final. I was feeling a little uncertain about it and I was also exhausted. So I decided to wear my Star Wars Jammie pants and evoke the Force. And I feel really good about how the test went.

I had my 20th Century Music final today. I feel pretty good about that one too. I didn't need my Star Wars Jammies today. Today's picture is of Harmony's empty and rearranged room. She moved out today for the summer. :( I'm gonna miss her so much. But the subletters are moving in tomorrow so that will be fun. I'm excited. :)

I'm almost done. It's almost summertime! :D

DONE! With my listening guide...

141/365

I am so close to being done. Three written finals, a singing jury and a conducting jury are all that I have left.

I am super proud of this listening guide. It looks good and I think it's exactly what Prof. Robbins wants. I hope so anyway. :/ Either way there's nothing I can do about it now because I am not wasting any more ink on this project.

Now I'm writing out note cards for my Materials final that I can study from. And I'm watching Solitary on Hulu as I do. It's nice to do something kinda mindless for awhile.

DONE! With my paper.....

140/365

I FINISHED MY PAPER! I still have to do my listening guide but that shouldn't take too long....BUT I'M DONE WITH MY PAPER! HOORAY ME!

Now all I have left is my listening guide, studying for Second Gen, History and Materials, singing my jury, and conducting my jury. I'm almost there. Thursday afternoon is my goal. I can do it.

Stephen Sondheim and Angela Lansbury

139/365

For my final History paper I have to write a paper on and do a listening guide to a song written by a twentieth century composer. I picked Stephen Sondheim.

And I am loving it.

Sondheim is a bloody genius! Everything he does in his music has a purpose and it's so glorious. I learned it all in this book!

Angela Lansbury is also a brilliant woman. She's done a lot with Sondheim. Anyone Can Whistle, Gypsy and of course, Sweeney Todd. She will always be my favorite Lovett, although I do enjoy Patti LuPone.

I loved this picture. It makes her seem that much more real.

Voice Class

138/365

This is me and the most of the girls who take voice lessons with Jessica. We had a voice class today but one person was missing. Jessica. She had her baby the other day and therefore cannot be here with us this week as we prep for juries. We miss her a lot but we're so happy for her and her new baby!

We love and miss you Jessica!

The Copy Machine

137/365

I went to the library today to make copies of music for my accompanist for juries. I am a little scared for them this time around. I'm not as prepared as I could be. That's a result of illness from me and my teacher and just other extraneous circumstances. :P It's going to be fine but it's still a little nerve wracking.

Break for Dinner

136/365

Today I spent a lot of time working on my stuff for my Keyboarding proficiency tomorrow. I needed to do it and I feel pretty good about it. I'm nervous but I will be fine after a good nights sleep.

I was getting frustrated at one point. I was messing up on things that I knew pretty well and I was just super upset. So I took a break to make dinner. I made a scramble. Egg, cheese, broccoli and potato. It was delicious and really helped refocus me.

Always make sure to have breaks when you're studying. It really helps. :)

End of the Year To-Do

135/365

This is my To-Do list for the rest of the year. (Two weeks) I will cross off piano on Wednesday. And then everything else will follow in quick succession.

People have asked me how I am. And I honestly can't answer them. I don't know what to say. I'mm trying my best to just keep my head on straight. I may or may not be my usual self during these next two weeks. After that all I have to worry about is putting on Sweeney Todd and then work for the rest of the summer. I'll sprinkle in a few fun times with friends too. I cannot wait. :)

Ampitheatre and Juice

133 & 134/365

I will post this picture later today. I may or may not have had a shot of 151 that took more out of me than I thought last night. :P

Hahaha! Here we go!

Yesterday was the PLUtonic/HERmonic Summer Concert. Usually it is held in the wonderful ampitheatre but just before it started we were asked to move into Lagerquist. Good thing too because by the time it was over it was pouring down rain. The concert was so good and my blogging buddy Erin had a wonderful solo that was beautiful and amazing!

This morning I was so glad that there was juice in the fridge. Because I REALLY wanted juice this morning as a result of what I did last night. :/ ;)

Blocking and Projects

131 & 132/365

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. Blogger was down for some weird reason. It was frustrating.

So yesterday I had rehearsal. Again. :) It was really fun. I'm getting to know my cast mates better, and we're actually starting to block! So below are my blocking notes for the opening Ballad. We open in three weeks. Which is kinda scary. :P

Today Megan and I started working on one of our final projects. We're almost done. This was for Instrumental Methods. We had to put together several different band concerts. It's really fun. We got most of it done this afternoon and I am going to finish up the rest of it before I head off to work in an hour.

Moe and Reptar

130/365

So I had a Skype date with my best friend today. And we were filling each other in on the goings-on of our lives. And she told me how she got to hold an actual human lung the other day. She said, and I quote, "It was all squishy and healthy!....But dead..."

It resulted in a lot of laughter.

I miss her beautiful face. A lot. :)

I also got another screen shot of us making ridiculous faces but I promised her I wouldn't put it up. It is so horrifically wonderful.

Chihuly Glass

129/365

This is one of the four glass flowers that hangs in the windows of Mary Baker Russell Music Building. It was made for MBR by Dale Chihuly, a Washington based glass maker. He makes BEAUTIFUL stuff. Makes me happy every time I see it. Especially when there is sunshine behind it.

It gives me hope for making through the rest of the school year.

Piano

128/365

This is my keyboard. This is what I spent my afternoon with. I'm working on knowing how to play my conducting piece for my conducting jury and the random shit that goes with the rest of my piano proficiency. It's a little crazy getting all of that stuff together. I'm hoping that I can balance that, with studying for finals, writing my history paper, working on Sweeney Todd stuff, prepping and getting my jury music ready and everything else in my life.

I am so crazed. I'm praying and hoping for a good ending to my year.

Choir Tour

124, 125, 126 & 127/365

I actually didn't take a whole lot of pictures on tour. I was too busy. It was so fun though. So here are a few glimpses into my busy weekend.

Packing. Again.

123/365

So this is my list of things to not forget when I finish packing in the morning.

I'm heading out on choir tour in the morning. We're just runnng out to local places. Olympia, Bainbridge Island, Kelso, and Seattle. I'm kinda excited. It'll be good to go out with the choir and show what we got. I will not be bringing my laptop. I'll be back on Saturday. And I'm sure I'll take lots of fun pictures to share with my few faithful readers when I get back. :)

Breakfast

122/365

So this is my breakfast.

A bagel with peanut butter and plain yogurt with honey. This is what I have had for breakfast pretty much everyday this year. This is what I've had for breakfast most of my life. More or less anyway. I didn't so much the past two years because I was living in the dorms, but whenever I was home this is what I ate.

I wonder if I'm weird because I have the same thing for breakfast everyday. It never gets boring and it always tastes good. :)

I think I am weird. I'm weird because of other things but I'm pretty sure this makes me exceptionally weird.

Adventures in Aberdeen and Another Rehearsal

120 & 121/365

So I would have posted yesterday but I didn't get home until midnight-ish because I totally got lost driving back home from Aberdeen with my girlfriends Rachel and Michelle. It was an adventure. While driving we saw this sign and we laughed.

Today I hade another Sweeney rehearsal. We started blocking, which, in my opinion, is the best part of the show. I love it. Makes me happy. We had some good laughs. It's nice that I'm getting to know some cast mates a little better. We're getting more comfortable with each other.

Now I shall go shower (quickly) and go to bed. I should have done this, like, an hour ago. :D

Homeworking

119/365

This is a picture of the homework I worked on tonight. It doesn't look like a lot. That's cuz most of it is on the computer. Putting together a handout for a presentation on Monday. I've had to slog through alot of material and put what I think is the most important/interesting on the handout. I hope my teammates approve...but it's gotta be put together and that was my job.

Also I've been working on one of my three big Instrumental Methods projects. Looking at Method and Warm Up books and basically analyzing them. I've done the looking and analyzing. I just have to put it all together. Megan and I worked on them together so we exchanged emails and information. I was going to put it together tonight but I am so tired. I'm just going to wait until tomorrow morning. Then I can turn it in on Sakai. I'll print it later....

Also I'm doing laundry. I will just have to shower while the dryer is running.... :P
