Happy Delicious Grilled Cheese Fun Time

31/365

This is my last post for January! I've done this for an entire month! I'm proud of myself!

I made myself a grilled cheese sammich today.

And I nommed it. It was so yummy. :)

Super Happy Fun Movie Time!

30/365

Today Rachel came over. And we talked. And then we decided to watch a movie. So we started with Slumdog Millionaire. And then I was going to go to bed. But then we really wanted to watch Interview with the Vampire. So we did.

And I don't care that I'm gonna be tired tomorrow. :)

My fancy new Jacket

29/365

I finally got my jacket for work!

That's all it says too. It's not that exciting. But it's super warm!

So. Tired

28/365

This is my bed.

And after I take a shower I will be snuggling in. Because I am tired. And I don't care that I'm only 21. I am allowed to be tired damn it. I don't care what my dad says. It's ok that I'm tired after a long week.

I may read some more of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo before I go to sleep. [Which is one of the best books I've read in a long time. So enthralling]

Skype Conversations with my Brother

27/365

I had a Skype date with my brother today. I'm still talking in fact. And he was doing homework. So whenever he looked away I would make a face. Like this one.

And then he would look up and accuse me and I would proclaim my innocence. Which was a lie because lets face it, who would make faces at their little brother while talking on Skype? :)

This is My Friend Molly

26/365

Actually this is a picture of a picture of my friend Molly.

Today when I went into work I was feeling kinda blue. I haven't been sleeping well and my Astronomy calls makes me want to fall off of a cliff. And so I went to get a hug from her before I went to drive around and I told her all of the above so she gave me one of her ear buds and made me listen to "Rose's Turn" sung by Chris Colfer [The Glee version]. She said it would make me feel better. And it totally did.

I love her dearly. She's such a wonderful lady and I am so glad that she listens to me. :)

Sharing With a Friend

24/365

Erin, the extremely white one, has a year in photos blog too. While I was visiting them today I got really excited and suggested that we take a picture of us taking pictures of each other for the photo of the day. It was quite an experience.

This one is Stephanie. I lived with her last year. She's super attractive isn't she?

I love them both dearly. :)

Pancake Sunday

23/365

It's Sunday once again. And I made pancakes for breakfast/lunch. By the time I was ready to go it was close to eleven. Anyway. I had some chocolate chips leftover from making cookies so I decided to make chocolate chip pancakes. They were yummy. But I made the batter a little thicker than I usually do so it took me a while to figure out the right amount of batter for golden brown pancakes that didn't have uncooked batter in the middle.

This is the picture I was going to post yesterday. It doesn't look as good as I thought it would. :P

Lazy Picture Day

22/365

So I took a really pretty picture of a tree outside my house all lit up with sunshine. But I am super comfy right now and don't want to get out of bed to go get my camera. So I took this picture of me and my stuffed giraffe Ginny instead.

Also I am really tired. Work went by really fast today, but it was really tiring. Maybe it's leftover tired from being out super late. I dunno. I'm really excited to not do anything except study for my astronomy exam tomorrow. And that won't even take that long.

Technically...

21/365

I am not late. It's not my fault that my aunt and uncle didn't get back until I had missed Saturday posting anyway. :P

So the pictures. My cousin Drew [see previous post with pictures of cute cousins] built this. It is a Lego replica of a ship from the Star Wars series. Like, the villians ship. It even has Darth Vader's chamber where he has his helmet put on and taken off. It's super intricate. AND SO COOL! I was jealous. It even opens up and stuff!

Legos weren't that cool when I was little.

Babysitting my cousins is always an experience.

And I may or may not have had a shot of Jose Cuervo after I put them to bed.....

XD

This is My Roommate

20/365

This is my roommate Harmony.

I had an awful day and seeing this caused me to laugh for about two hours. Until I gave myself a headache.

I love her.

:)

Also on the post yesterday, the pictures are flipped. I don't know how they did that. But I don't want to edit it. I'm sure that the three people who read this realize that I am not a complete idiot and know that the picture of the chili pot was not the table set for family dinner. *headdesk*

Prize Winning Chili

19/365

The first picture is our table set for family dinner night. The second one is the winning crockpot of awesome cooking our chili.

It was delicious and family dinner night was fun. We played Mario Party and watched My Neighbor Totoro. :) Happy night.

A Letter to Our Toaster

18/365

Dear Toaster,

So long. Farewell. Aufweidersen and Goodbye. You were a shitty toaster. You always managed to put at least one burned spot on anything and everything that we toasted. No matter what level we put it on. You didn't always make our toast double crusty sided. You were so loud when you were done with our toast. Your little "pop" made me jump at least ten times. And when you screeched at us, well. Let's just say none of us are sad to see you go.

The Cure for a Bad Day

17/365

One: Happy Birthday to my little brother Dylan! :)

Two: Homemade cookies is a cure for a bady day.

This is me and Hope hovering above the yummy cokies we made tonight. Along with these delicious cookies, we played Mario Kart '64 and had girl talk which in turn made my male roommate Cooper a little confomfortable, but he joined in too.

It was a great night.

Even though she clocked me in the head with her elbow.

My Favorite Cereal

16/365

I got to sleep in today. I didn't have to get up and worry about work or class. So when I woke up at 10:28, I felt completely relaxed and ready to have a nice calm day. I was starving though. So I had two big bowls of Special K with Strawberries.

And it was so delicious.

A Letter to My Shoes

13/365

Dear Mocasins,
I am terribly sorry that I keep on insisting that I wear you when it's raining out. I realize that you are not waterproof and that the more I get you wet, the faster you will not be warm and fluffy on the inside. But in my defense, I didn't think it was gonna start pouring rain. And that it was only going to pour harder as I walked home. Without an umbrella. I got really wet too! I hope you can forgive me.
Love, Kelsey

Don't mess with her. She'll put make-up on you. In ways that you won't enjoy...

What I Did This Afternoon.

10/365

I snuggled in my bed, read my book [The Other Queen by Philippa Gregory] and listened to Rufus Wainwright. For three hours.

It was quite relaxing.

We Are Family

8/365

Don't we look related?

These are my cousins. Chandler is the one on the left and Drew is on the right. They are so cute and loveable. They are hilarious. I love them. :) They frustrate me so much some times but when I hear them laugh I forget about all of that!

So. Much. Ink.

7/365

This is all one homework assignment for my Astronomy class. That is twelve pages. One of which is the actual answers that I got. The other eleven are either the articles that I found the answers on or the multitudes of pictures that I had to print out. THAT IS SO MUCH INK! It now smells like toner in my room. It's awful.

SO MUCH INK!

Eff you Astronomy professor. :P

DIDI! GET OUT OF MY LA-BOR-A-TORY!

6/365

Did anyone else watch Dexter's Lab when they were little? I loved that show. :)

Anyhoo. Today's picture is of the open lab in Rieke Science Center. The first time I had ever been up there.

I met a nice girl named Jessica and as we did our lab we compared notes and made sure we were on the same track together. It was nice. It was also very easy. I hope that all future labs will be that easy.

Family dinner night tonight. Stir fry. Mmmmmm.

Wonderful.

5/365

This is what I look like when I wake up an hour and a half before I'm supposed to wake up with a bloody nose.

I frantically hop out of bed and shove kleenex up my nose. God bless my roommate for buying kleenex and letting me keep a box in my room. By this time I have a handful of blood and I know it's all over my face but all I care about is checking to see if blood has gotten on my pretty purple sheets. There was a drop. ONE DROP! So I tuck my pillow under my arm with my clean hand and head to the bathroom to dab and dab and dab with cold water.

All before 6:15.

So after I get it all out (GO ME!) I figure there is no point in my trying to sleep again because it wouldn't happen. So I decide to take a picture of my crazy hair, un-makeup-ed, and generally undone self.

Hence, this post.

P.S. I have class again today.

P.P.S. I also start work today.

P.P.P.S. I may give a bonus picture today...

J-Term Has Begun

4/365

And I just bought the single most expensive textbook for a class in my entire college career.

$126 for an Astronomy book. And this class may kill me. Not from difficulty. Heck no. But the professor is SO LONG WINDED. It makes me want to put my head through a wall it's so tedious. :P

Oh well.

Last Day of Break

3/365

I had an emotional night last night. It started with me reading posts from a site called Six Billion Secrets and then it all spilled out into a note that I posted on Facebook (and then copied into my personal blog...) Anyway I was up until two thirty. Then I couldn't fall asleep so I took a Melatonin and put Friends season one on in the background. Passed out after that. I was woken this morning at about nine o'clock to this.

I snapped the picture and dozed for about another hour. But that darn sunshine wouldn't let me stay asleep. So I got up. I felt better today but not up to speed. Spend the day wrapped up in blankets and watching movies. Actually movie. Twice. Chocolat is my new favorite. Now I'm gonna watch Anastasia and work on a new story idea.

Freaking Ridiculous

2/365

So I got a Nook for my birthday. It's really cool right? But I had no money to buy books. But for Christmas I got three, count 'em, three gift cards! So I went on a shopping spree. I got all three of the Stieg Larsson books, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest, The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins and Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Glbert. Got them fine. The problem was I couldn't figure out how to get them from my computer to the Nook. I had a bit of a meltdown. I had to be on hold for technical support for an hour. I'm not kidding. An hour. Finally a guy picks up and tells me how to do it. It's ridiculously simple. And it turns out that I had already done it.

Three times. I just didn't know that they had gone to a different part of my Nook.

So now I have three copies of each book on my Nook. *facepalm*

Happy New Year!

1/365

I took so many wonderful pictures last night. I spent it with two WONDERFUL friends Megan Anderson and Maurine Ackerman. So I'm giving you all some bonus pictures!

We went to The Cheesecake Factory for LOTS of yummy food!

We kicked off the New Year in Seattle with the fireworks at the Space Needle.

And then we drank champagne and played Apples to Apples. (I also had some hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps.) We ended up getting a little drunk.

And so because I am hungover I am gonna go lie down. :)

Happy New Year!
